Lions Make Quick Work of Bears

Bears 1 Lions 5 (Tainan)

Lions starter Jerome Williams allowed three hits over eight innings and Marshall McDougall went 2 for 4 with a homer in the fourth to lead the big cats to victory in this fast-paced game.

Collazo Joins Lions

The Uni-President 7-11 Lions have added Puerto Rican pitcher Willie Collazo to their squad. The left-handed pitcher made six appearances for the New York Mets in 2007 and has also spent time in the Braves, Angels and Marlins systems.

Collazo is expected to get the start in Thursday's game against the La New Bears.

Bears Take Down Elephants

Bears 9 Elephants 1 (Kaohsiung)
The Bears made short work of the Elephants Sunday in Kaohsiung. Chris Mason threw a complete game to improve to 4-1 and catcher Lin Hong-Yu had three hits and three RBIs. Four other La new players also had multiple hits.

Bulls 12 Lions 5 (Taoyuan)
The Bulls put up 8 runs in the second inning en route to an easy win over the Lions. Lin Qi-Wei had a strong outing, allowing one run over six innings to improve to 4-0 on the season. Zheng Zhao-Hang had a pair of doubles and two RBIs for Sinon.

Liu Fu-Hao knocked in all five Lions runs, including a much too-little-too-late grand slam in the ninth inning.
