Bears Give Sanchez a Tryout

The La New Bears took a look at Humberto Sanchez in a minor league game vs. the Elephants today. He gave up 3 runs in 5 innings with 4 hits and 4 walks.

Sanchez signed with the Detroit Tigers in 2002 and was then involved in a trade to the New York Yankees as one of the pieces that helped Detroit land Gary Sheffield in 2006. He finally made it to the majors in 2008, when he made two appearances for the Yankees.
